Kittens are cute!

Ok, so this is kind of un-fashion etc related but...

I just got two new kittens called Freja and Tom Riddle (yes I know its sad but Voldemort was my favourite character!). They are the cutest things I have ever seen!

So Cute!!

Its so hot!!

Oh my god. It is so hot.

I live near the sea (i.e. walking distance) but it is still so hot that I got sweaty from walking home from school today. Coastal towns are never supposed to be hot. Thats for the far away desert.
I therefore propose a few ideas of what to wear when it is stinking hot.
1. Linen caftans. e.g. Camilla Franks
2. Dresses that are slightly baby doll-ish so it doesn't cling to you when you get hot.
e.g. Fleur Wood - See a few posts ago.
3. Shorts e.g. These sass and bide ones

I think that is about it. But remember a good bikini/ One piece can go far. Like ones from Anna and Boy.

A lot of interesting things

Listening to: Aphrodisiac by Bow Wow Wow
Yesterday the craziest thing happened. My mum went to a place in Sydney where they make wigs for the Opera. she saw one that looked exactly like my shade of red hair so she asked them where they got it from and they said they got it from a girl wo lives in the same area as I do who shaved there hair in March and donated it to the Leukemia foundation. Which was exactly what I did!! So obviously my hair is going to be worn in an Opera! How cool is that?

I know every one raves on about Agyness Deyn (which I do to, but..) but I really like Iekeliene Stanges style. She has so much confidence and dresses in anything she wants. She always looks like she is one of those girls that you would have so much fun with!

Fleur Wood

Listening to: Non, je ne regrette rien
I am enraptured by Fleur Wood's latest collection, both spring- summer and autumn- winter. (She is Australian, and does a collection for the seasons here and the ones in the northern hemisphere). All her designs are so whimsical and fresh. They are always very romantic. She recently opened a store in Strand Arcade, in Pitt St mall in Sydney which was lingerie inspired. I am dying to go there. I saw a picture and she has a mural on one of the walls which is similar to frescos in Italy. Fleur Wood says that every item of her clothing is like a little piece of luxury.

I am also looking forward to the Gail Sorronda for Target.

Alexander McQueen - Spring 2008 Ready to wear tribute to Isabella Blow

I adore the new Alexander McQueen collection that is dedicated to Isabella Blow. See 'inspirational' people column on the side of my page. It definitely channelled her, especially with the hats and the outrageous designs. I love the grey dress with the red belt that had a mass of butterflies as a hat. If I ever decide to go to a prom/formal whatever people call it these days, I will definitely wear it, but it probably will be unavailable by then.
I also am reading a biography aboout George Sands. She was amazing. She dressed as a man in the 1830's.

Swimming costumes

In Australia its close to Summer time so its bikini shopping time!! I kind of didn't have enough money to buy one today so I bought a Mika-inspired top from Ally x. But i did find some I'll get after I get a bit more money than $20!!! I love Anna and Boy, they always look so chic (on the models, maybe not me...)
I like these ones:

I don't have ANY swimmers, only a one-piece for competitive swimming, which i used to do.

Australia and more

I normally dont go for wide legged jeans, but I adore these Sass and Bide jeans. I found them on shopbob.com... They're very Jane Birkin.
I can't get a picture though because it is the wrong format, so here is the link:
http://www.shopbop.com/shop/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524441805447&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302064877&fm=browse-brand&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=1408474395181057

Sorry that it is kind of long.
Only four more days left till the third term holidays!! I'm definatly looking forward to them. I want to see 3 movies:
Hairspray (John Travolta as a woman!!!)
December Boys (I have to see if Daniel Radcliffes accent is legit)
Stardust (It looks like it has a good story line)
Also, I'm getting my hair cut and dyed white blonde!! Every one gets upset when I tell them because they say my hair is such a nice colour and most people would kill for it, but after having it for so many years I get a little bored. If my hair gets weakened after it (because of the dye, and redheads have the least amount of hair on their head) I'll probably just shave it of again. For those of you that don't know I shaved my hair six months ago. I like to say I'm going for a androgynus (is that how you spell it) look.
I have also been trying my hand at crocheting but I've found that I'm definatley a knitter rather than a crocheter. Knitting seems more satisfying, sorry to all you crocheters out there but its true.

Shoes and Hats

I got a black velvet hat from Sydney's Fox Studio Markets for only $15!! A bargain. I think it will look very Chanel if I add a white or cream camellia brooch. I think its really cute. And its lined on the inside, so its really warm.

I also got a pair of really cool Con's. One shoe is different to the other! I love them!

Music Performance

I had to do a music performance for my mandatory music course. I chose to sing because I have this massive fear of singing in public, even though I can sing on tune. So I sang the song Moon River from Breakfast at Tiffany's. I got a B+, which is better than i expected. I know if I played the piano I would have got an A, but I think I cured my singing fear, so, getting a B+ isn't as bad as it would be. I'm a perfectionist so a B+ is annoying for me. I have this urge right now to play either the saxophone or the harp or French Horn...
